Braved 20-40mph winds, john and myself managed to put 19.50lbs in the boat. We culled a few 2.5lbers including a smallie. Had a few good ones follow baits back to the boat. Lunker went 6.60.
Jig. Black blue purple. Tried black, black/blue, brown, gp, white. Etc. That was the only color they were chewing on. Had to go heavy to feel anything in the wind- 1/2 did well until about 10am. Needed 1oz by 1 30. 20fow. Would of had a much harder time if we didnt have 75+ jigs in the boat between us.

Whoa!! Kemosabe, speak for yourself. How about a little more accuracy in your report like SkeeterJim=6, SkeeterRon=O as in zip, nada, kaput, the big doughnut! I may have not caught the size Nick did due to probably the cold front of all cold fronts coming through but I did catch bass pardner! Sorry guys and Nick, had to correct my partner's errant report. _________________ Eat, Sleep, Fish......I Love my SKEETER ZX225!!!

East twin lake. Spend some time out there.
2nd came out of west. 3rd was mostly smallies out of east on topwater.
There were quite a few 1-3 fish bags that day too skeeterjim. John paulhaski jr was on the state team last year. He did it as a boater and the motor blew the beginning of this year. Hes only 21 and most of the guys that have fished with him would swear hes got some serious talent. You wouldnt believe how confident he is- calls the bites and hes usually right. |
