Hi everyone,i'm new to this site but i thought i'd give a report.I went to mashapaug yesterday from 10:00am until 1:30pm.it was a fairly cool day with off and on sun and a pretty steady light wind but some heavier gusts.the bite was extremely slow.I only managed to get two large mouth. One about 1 3/4lb in about 28ft of water and the other around 3lb in 12ft of water. even tho i started of trying for smallies,i threw a watermelon tube and drop shot a gulp minnow for about 2 hours with no success. i got the two bass on 1/4oz bitsy jigs. |

Same deal there sunday at the annual fall mashapaug t. I got 6 keepers on a brown jig in 20-30 fow and a few on dropshot. Its a tough place in the fall and it seems like 8-9lbs takes it there this time of year. Dusty/wonka/deniss tell me the fishing is AMAZING in the spring/spawn though.
So good job. And good report- theres alot of deep stuff out there so take some time and poke around if ya can. |
