Andrew and I went out Wednesday real early to try and load up with the elusive Bunker. We got aound 20 Striper candy and started our quest. We fished 5 spots and thought the first one was gonna be the deal with all the birds and different bait fish around. we got one blow up and that was it. We were live linng on top and we were on our first spot just as the sun was peaking thru the Horizen. Well Move till you find the fish right. Last spot with bunker dying and only eight or so still alive we find them stacked. I pull up right over the small rock pile in 40 ' of water and the screen lights up we drop down and instantly doubles on. We ended up with three doubles 13 bass total and we both caught one right around the 35 lb range. We caught them on livies, dead ones, heads and tails. All fish were caught in about 45 minute period at the end of the incoming tide. On the water at 4 AM and off the water at 10 am. Great day with ya handy Andy as always. Oh yeah and only 1 bluefish
I have pics but I cant for the life of me figure out how to post them on this site. Any help would be appreciated[/url]

I think that the stripers are starting to finally move in, I tagged one 34" down in fairfield on saturday and my boy hooked a 33" the next day at the same spot. still haven't seen any bunker near shore, what's up with that? _________________ "Nobody touches the Shaqtus" |

peanut bunker are every where. Long island is stacked up with bunks. They will be here soon.
False albies and bonito's where all over the race yesterday and the day beofore feeding on peanut bunker.
Hickory shad are getting thick, great for live linning. _________________ Sorry honey, looks like we will be late again due to motor problems.
