Theres two 6's, a heavy 5, and a heavy 4 in there. Beseck lake and winchester lake. Both sess pools. Jig is on fire. Winchester was during a T today- had a 4 and a pair of 3's on top of that. |

It's because of that storm that came through. Thursday night I picked up a 6 pound 4 ounce 21.75 inch largemouth on a weightless chigger craw crazy legs. Nice job at Winchester man. I fished that lake 4 times and once at night and the biggest thing I caught was a 2 lb largemouth on a Strike King spinnerbait. Then again I could never fish the timber because of the hurricane force winds that always seem to start up when I go there. Even at night time... |

That's Beseck? I guess I don't even recognize it in the summer.
Those are some great fish Nick. Dave VA caught a pig in Winchester too recently. |

I don't doubt they are in there at all. The first fish I caught in there was 4.5. I just didn't recognize the location of the picture. The second picture is recognizeable as the parking lot at Winchester, so I was figuring the first must be from Beseck. |

It is. Super shallow area. To the left of the launch. Didnt get them over there though. Both fish came out of the cove to the left of the launch. Less then 15 ft apart. |

Yeah, I figured that was where you had to be and like I said, it looks a lot greener in the summer. I wouldn't expect you to catch them down there this time of year either. I like Beseck a lot . . . If only I could take 15 to get there. Thanks for sharing the info, you didn't have to. Personally, I like hearing depth and lures better than locations on these sites for two reasons. 1) If someone has worked a lake hard to find a spot and want to keep it a secret that's fine and it won't receive too much pressure then. I'm debating whether that matters though because I've returned everytime thise year to the same spot on a little pond near my house and it always has fish on it. Maybe it wouldn't replenish quickly if I fished it 3 or 4 days in a row, but the fish aren't going to avoid a good peice of structure . . . I don't believe they "think" like that. 2) The other reason I like to know and share depth and lure selection is becuase it might work on another lake that same time of year. |

Chunk rock under thick brush in 2-4fow ryan. I got one out of that "famous" tree that gets hit every day. |

Yeah, like I said, some spots will hold fish no matter how many times they get fished. If I know which tree you are talking about, I haven't caught a bass (lots of panfish though) off that tree in my last 4 trips there . . . I've only been there 5 times. The first time I got three or 4 off of it. I have caught a fish off a different tree though on three of those trips. It's nice to hear they came from shallow water. The last couple/few years, I have been enamored with fishing deep water. I have been splitting my time a little more equally recently and it has been paying off. I've also discovered jig fishing is very effective after avoiding it for many years!
We should plan a trip together again. I enjoyed our trip to Cedar together. |

Sounds good to me ryan. Got my ass handed to me on lilly yesterday-only one fish over 2.5lbs. Despite seeing a 5-6lb smallie take a swoop at sal's jig boatside.
Name the place. Been getting on cwood alot lately. I still wanna do a night trip there, The last few trips ive gotten a fish in the dark (5 30 am or so) due to showing up real early. |
