now imagine if that happened a 100 mile off shore with tuna gear. Things can go from good to bad so quick.

UHHHHGHGHH!!!

all the way past the barb. OUCH

I did that once and had to wiggle it out like I was dehooking a fish. I learned a lesson on humility towards my hooked fish after that.

Thanks, Al! By the way, I LOVE the rod you made for me. Freaking great with my Lobina popper. I haven't missed one that actually hit the lure. I haven't tied a crankbait on yet, but I can tell I'll love it in that application too. Time for a shameless plug. Guys, Al does great work on the rods. He matched the colors of my boat and put a great design on it. Chuck's got one that he won at the Reynolds tourney, so he can comment too.

In other news...The thumb looks nasty right now but is feeling much better. Trish the super nurse is helping me look after it. I'll be back on the water this weekend.

Phish....

Ouchhhhhhhhh.... I enjoy Rainbow Res. I made the mistake of taking the wife on a trip there once. She loved it so much now everytime she hears me going she want to come.

I typically dump her off on the small island and she sits on the sandbar.

Bas, I got my thumb bitten by a Hopkins once, I was on Smiths Point on Long Island. 13 miles on the beach then 20 mile to a hosp.

My dad ended up sitting on me and pushing it threw the other side. I never screemed so much...

It hurts just thinking of it..

BTW, Phish, Great post...
