Thanks! I saw most of those on the DEP map ... Laughing ... I just was wondering what had good fishing access but I think I really just need to troop around and figure it out. Or maybe buy a boat. Smile

Heavyweight, Hamlin Pond is not too bad. Been there several times and have done good catching 1-3 pounders. Very little fishing pressure and very limited shore access so the bucket brigade is not pounding the snot out of it there. One side is weeds, grass, lily pads and the other side is bushes growing right out of the water so there is an abundance of cover. The bottom is predominately bowl shaped according to my depth finder with a feeder creek at one end. There is tons of bluegills so I know the bass have forage to feed on there. Just gotta go back there with my flippin stick and see if I can entice some bigger ones to bite with a jig. As for New Britain Resevoir I know there are big ones in there as I have witnessed pictures of bass being caught out of there at night secretly but that is the only way you can fish there because the rez is off limits to fishing. During the day the Water Dept patrols the lake and at night the police so it is risky.

I was joking about the res. I know theres some monsters in there. I've even seen big pike come out of there. Hamlin does look good. Went last Sat to Black Pond and did real good. Caught a bunch of 2-3lb bass, monster pickeral and the largest yellow [perch of my life. Had to have been over 2lbs

I'm sure all reservoirs are good fishing because its illegal so they are not over fished.

Wanted to put my Tracker Bantam in there but saw a sign that said NO Boats.
Damn!! Crying or Very sad I wanted to try that place from a boat real bad. Had one hit there that was so hard and fast it was over in an instant, broke my 10 lb. test like it was 2.

My bro seen a pike well over 30" break a kid off twice within 15mins and seen a couple walleye in there. Also some guy my bro in law knows seen a guy catch two smaller ones. I was there maybe 2 weeks ago fishing from the dam and seen something big keep surfacing in the grass about 30' out from it. It's tough because it's soooooooo grassy

Are you kidding me? I have caught some nice bass out of there whenever I can get over there for a quickie. I'll usually fish it for an hour and that's it because there are so few spots along the shore to fish it, the rest gets pretty swampy.

Seriously. I've fished every open spot in that place and nothing. I had one chaser by the dam that probably went 2lbs. That was it.I don't like using anything with a treble hook there because I end up pulling in 10lbs worth a of crap every cast
