I was fishing from shore at kings island and looked across the river and saw a boat fishing the shore line across from the launch. so I was wondering if anyone knows that part of the river at all I would like to get a boat up there somehow and the launch seems like its to shallow to get a larger boat in there. My dad made it up to the 140 bridge launching from windsor but couldent make it any farther. I looked at google earth and it looks like there is some rapids or something. is there any way around them???

You need to be careful that far up the river. You will be ok if you follow the channel out. That ramp get get shallow quick if the water drops and then you prolly wont get a bigger boat out of there. Lots of good smallie and striper fishing up that way!

You need a jet boat to get up there very shallow lots of rocks just under the surface but great fishing

This time of year without a jet, you're asking for trouble. If you make one mistake on plane up there and go 4 feet left or right of the correct flow, you could wreck. Some of the places I take the jet are only 4 inches deep.

You plan on using the "jet" for the next EL tournament?

Cjpd,

I talked to Blane about going there. He suggest to fish from shore. No worth wipping out you lower end unit.

If you go, good luck.

Ron
