Me and sal prefished twin yesterday for the this sundays empty lake t.
We spent 3 hours in west and 3 hours in east. Must of caught a billion rockbass and sunfish in east. The bass were on pretty good in west though. Lots of 2-3lb fish in the weeds.
All we seemed to catch out of east was rockbass trout and small 1lb largemouth. I did get a 2.5lb football of a smallmouth and finally hooked up on a fish that was peeling drag like crazy. 10x that of the smallie I got. Me and sal thought it was a 4+ no problem but it wound up being a 2lb largemouth on steroids. The thing had BALLS.
Sal took high hook honors with a 4lb largie flipping, a 2lb crappie on a popper, a pickerel on a fluke and a ton of panfish on the dropshot.
Fun time out- its nice to go out on a weekday, catch around 20 keepers and probably in the area of 75 junk fish.
The best flipping bait we found was a water widow (lucker city) in black/blue.

My report is true gary. At the very least you will think its false and not do what i just reported. Either way its good for me and someone learns a few/new things about the lake from said report.
Sal was crying for a camera when he jammed that 4+! |
