fished from 6-8pm and picked up 3 lmb on a jig. one by that rock that always holds fish, 1 around the dam and other in the weeds. nothing on the sluggo this time. largest was just under 2 lbs. |

Nice job,...how are the pads??
(I just bought a few new frogs and I was thinking about hitting that place with them. ) _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."

the pads are great! although this year has been kind of slow.
there are 4 set of pads i typically fish:
- little cove on right (this is where i caught a 4+ lb'er a couple of years ago
- isolated pads in middle of pond
- around the island
- if my back holds up (fishing in a kayak is not good for my back), along the back shore to the left of the dam or in the coves/inlet on the right
typically, i fish pads real slow with plastics. pulling them along the top and dropping in the holes. haven't done much topwater this year (i.e. frog). really focusing on the jigs. |
