It's also got a couple of boulders just beneath the surface along the western shore,..
I haven't been there in more than a year,..but the times I've gone previously, I got some decent ones in the 3-4lb range,...but you have to punch the pads with a very heavy weight to get to them! Also,..there was always plenty enough water between the lilypad mats to go through with my trolling motor. The goose poop & matted slime at the launch (which is about the most shallow launch I've seen BTW...) is pretty disgusting though.
You really need hip boots to avoid it and I usually headed straight to the carwash afterward to hose everything off! Sounds like a great place huh??!! _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."
