| knowing north farms is pure weeds/pads and shallow its a difficult place to get a boat around in and fish but i figured i'd take the boat out for a few hours and try frogs and flukes and see what happened; spent about 3 or 4 hours there and ended up with 3 bass biggest being a pound. 1 on spro frog, 1 on fluke and 1 on texas rigged senko. missed another on a yum buzz frog... seems like a great frog place but just not a hard hitting day; |

Place LOOKS like it should kick out some fish, but it doesn't. Nice job getting a few. I had similar results there about 2 weeks ago.

johnS- yeah theres some spots in there you'd think would be great areas to see a nice blow up on kermit but although ive heard of a few large fish from there ive never seen them.
forgot to mention in the post i try flip n pitch as well for a few but nothing on that as well.  |

| to the right of the boat launch is really thick but left/middle is perfect and thats where i found one of them. you throw a buzzfrog or something and as you reel back you create little pathways on top from your bait. great cover but not thick where its not worth fishing |

I went in there one time with my little aluminum Tracker and it was a nightmare on the trolling motor in the heavy stuff. Plan on going back there next time with a push pole.

Seriously. There's good size bass in there,just very hard to get too. The pressure doesn't help either

I know. I got a 4lber there last year and also had one break me off and I was using 20 lb. mono. I just hate the geese poop all over the boat launch when I go there.

The left side of North Farms near the shore and out towards the back there's more deepr spots and usually less weedy

went to north farms for the first time a couple weeks ago before we got pounded with all this rain. really shallow and like everyone said the lillypads/weeds are INSANE!!
However, I was in a canue with a buddy of mine so we were able to get into some decent spots. He caught three Largies, including a 3.5lber and a 2.5 lber. The only one I got was a cookie cutter pounder. He caught the 2.5 lber on a cotton-candy senko under a little cover off that island. The 3.5 lber was caught on the weedline near those two docks...wicked shallow water there, probably only 2 feet or so. (if that). That one was hit on a brown/gold spinnerbait.
Seemed like a pretty decent place...I'd like to go back soon.

Theres a few spots that drop to about 6ft. I think also between the two islands theres a little drop off. Just watch the sandbar
