Had some on and off storms today, but at the end of work it looked like I had a window of an hour or two on the weathermap so i decided to hit the closest lake with my kayak & jig rod! Picked up a 2.5 lber as soon as I got to the outside weedline,..then nothing for a while as it started to sprinkle. Well the sprinkle got heavy for a few minutes,..then light,..then I picked up the second fish of the day which went 4.75 on the boga! Because of the weather I had left the camera back in my jeep, but since this is the first lunker bass I'd gotten for quite a while,..I decided to head back in with the fish in tow. Got the camera out and placed it on a dock with an umbrella over it for this pic,...then right after i let the fish go & put the camera away, I heard the first crackle of thunder in the distance. So it turned out to be perfect timing & a nice little ending to the afternoon!! Both fish were on the outside weedline in 10-12 FOW near deepwater transitions! Bait was a black jig / black trailer,..3/4 ounce. Water temp felt like high 70's.

Nice fish Mark!
I imagine those lunkers you've missing out on will be jumping into the boat sooner than later. |

Nice Fish J4F! I glanced through your photo albums, and I was shocked by some of the fish that came outta Cedar and Pattaconk Lake! I never knew those places produced fish like that. WTG!
