Wow, what a trip!! Spent 6 days in heaven! Caught close at least 50 fish a day.
This year we were able to get on some nice largemouths! Caught a nice 4 lber. today. Everyday was a different bite. We threw..tubes,flukes,senkos,spinnerbaits. Mostly natural colors on the soft plastics. Spinnerbaits were white/chartreuse. The smallies are still on beds for the most part. sight fishing was a little tough with overcast skies and no sun since Monday. Had a great afternoon yesterday we boated over 60 smallies. We fished every day from 6-12 and then 2-6. 5-1/2 days of fishing.
Biggest smallie we caught was 4.11lbs. biggest largie was 5.22lbs. a few slimedarts as well. This is my third year for this trip, cant wait for next year |

It is a blast is right!! Not too much skill needed, good glasses and alot of jig heads, for the most part
The marker buoys are unreal!!! I have only been a boater for 6 years, it is scarey. They make no sense. Not one hazard buoy. Only black and red and a few no wake ones. You can easily get screwed up. There are so many bays and islands! You have to pay attention and constantly look at the chart. We had a hand held GPS that we left a bread crum trail , that helped out alot.
Just followed the line to and from, worked pretty well.
Was able to get the boat to WOT and full trim in the morning. Almost 65 on the GPS, With 20 gallons of fuel and all our stuff. WOW!!! Most of the time we ran at 45, fast enough for me.
We already booked for next year on the way home, can't wait!!
If you have the oportunity to get up there check it out. What an awesome fishery. |

We usually stay in Moultonborough. The pic with the smallie is just thru "the hole in the wall" |
