I got the ITCH to wet the line today while at work and reading CTFT... Good reports from you all lately, im glad everyone is sharing.
It POURED in the morning for hours here in PA/NJ. Thunderstorms were all over the place all morning but the rain had stopped by the time work was over and it was overcast, warm, and really humid as if it were going to rain again.
I headed to the little pond that I found on google maps a while back. Decided to work the bank with a crank. 3rd cast with a shallow daiwa peanut crank and BOOOOMMM!! The thing inhaled it and i set the hook, i saw swirls coming from the water and heard the drag run a tiny bit so i knew it was a decent fish. I pulled em out and out came this guy, FULL of eggs....the picture doesnt do it justice, i gotta get better at that but what the hell, 4lb 13 ozs on the scale.
About 4 casts later I pulled this one out that went almost 3 on the scale!
The best part about this pond is there is no fishing pressure and the fish are all extremely fiesty/healthy. Im waiting for the day where i run into the trophy 8 lb'er from there..... Pics to follow
