Went fishing with one of my old Seawolf Bass club members. Launched at Beach around 11:30 AM . Water temp 67-68 degrees. Some oddball Bucky smallies still hanging around some beds. I went down to one of our spots. Looks great wind blowing the right way, boat position good and casting right on the money. I start the trip with the drop shotfish on 1 1/2 LB LMB. Caught fish in about 4-6' . Looks like the start to a nice trip. Meanwhile my partner says I got one and it has some size. I reel in grab the net and it's a 4LB LMB. It was caught 6-8' FOW on Bead tail finese worm. Great start to a short but productive trip. End total of 15 keepers and a few shorts. Was suprised to see anything still on a bed. Pulled off the water when the rain was threatening at 2:30 PM . Nice to fish with friends. Ended the day with ice cream at Buttonwood Farms. Was a great day to be out fishing

Thanks for the report. Sounds like a good day for sure. They'll be spawners here and there for a little bit to come.

Oh, and there's NO better way to end the day than with ice cream! Laughing

Nice report! I wish Beach wasnt so far away because I love that place. The first time I ever fished there was in a club tournament. I had 5 fish for 17 pounds anchored by a 6.5 and finished 2nd to a 24 pound bag, 5 fish anchored by an 8.5!! I was amazed!! Warren Shilling caught that fish and all of his in 30 feet of water on a black Spider grub with a 1oz football head. All my fish came out of 1 foot of water on a floating worm..... go figure!!!

It's definetly an awesome place that can be fished so many ways! I've even heard of 20+ pound bags of smallies out of there!!

Nice job Jerry!

P.S. hows the Strat??? Have you seen the new Evo's?? Im grueling over them! I think that's my next boat! 201 w/250 Evinrude

I icefished Beach a lot this year but did shitty...I would love to go there while the water is open...seemed like a great fishery with its depth and structure.

Boats ok Justin. Haven't fished as much as i liked because of others things to do. The Evo is nice and all but I am happy with my boat. Does everything I need it to do besides I hate boat payments. Will repower this one so far is the plan whenever that times comes.
