Set out on East Twinzy Sunday with Nicky P for the USA Bassin event. The bite was tough early but me managed to find some really nice fish.
Water Temp: 64 in the am to 68 in the after noon
Wind picked up from the West in the afternoon
Baits: Senkos (AHHHHHHH) Watermelon/Purple Flake
Pop-R, Rocky Ledge Spinnerbait 1 oz. Flats Special Gold Shiner
Yamamoto Creature color #83
Started the day in West Twin up in the River. It was dead up there so we moved back to the East side. Fished the marina looking for carry over fish from the tournament the day before but found nothing.
Found a MONSTER fish on a bed (6 - 7 pounder) she picked up the bait and spit it so fast I couldnt get a legal hookset so we missed out on her
Moved up very shallow onto the flats in 1 foot of water and found tons on nice fish cruising. If you made a long blind cast with a Senko you could catch them but if they saw you they were gone. There were some fish on beds on the back flat.
Chuck C and Ryan G ended up winning but I wont say what they were doing. Thats up to them to tell you.
Placed 3rd with almost 9 pounds with 4 fish. |

Thanks guys.... and yes third is definetly better than last.... especially when you have to run around and make something happen.... The day just seemed to kick off in the last hour and a half...... Another hour would have been perfect....
Congrats to Chucky and Ryan again...they definetly caught them and deserved to win! I knew we should have fished beind them all day.... |

Justin,
My father has been trying to get me to fish the twins. He says the fishing is awesome there the last time he went. (20 years ago).
He mention that you can go under the bridge and fish both side, is that still true?

Thanks guys. Great report Tralli. We got on the fish fairly quickly and continued to slowly upgrade our catch throughout the day. Yes, you can get to the other lake through the bridge if your boat is small enough. |

I was there a week and a half ago. We did ok. We were able to go under the bridges in a 18 ft Ranger, barely. There was a nice smalley on a bed right at the launch was it still there?
Congrats to you guys!!! Pretty cool that two teams from the site finished in the top five!!
