Hey Guys -
Some of you know I'll be getting hitched in July and we'll be moving towards New Haven (we may live in Meriden, Wallingford or North Haven areas). The wife will be doing some dental hygiene work in New Haven. I'm currently looking for work in Information Technology (pretty much looking for a Desktop Support or Jr. Business Analyst type of position) and would appreciate any suggestions of bigger business to look into in those areas. There's only so much monster.com and careerbuilder can do, nothing like local word of mouth.
Thanks in advance

Sorry I can't help wishin, not my field at all, or my geograpic location.
Good luck finding something suited to you. With the job market the way it is right now, because of the economy, I'm sure your in for a rocky road. But don't get discouraged, you'll find something soon, be flexible and work hard. I am in middle management, I hire and fire, and the things that we look for on every applicaton, are longevity at past emploment positions, good work ethic, and flexibility. Most importantly be able to pass a drug test, and backgroung check, ie. no felony arrests.
Good Luck _________________ Life's Short - Fish Hard - Take a Kid Fishing |

Thanks guys for the replies...
I have the most experience in desktop support but the part I enjoy most is testing, implementing and supporting some piece of technology that solves a problem (Usually called Information Technology Analyst). I've worked with testing different anti-viruses for clients, whole disk encryption (Pointsec and PGP), the normal Microsoft products (Office, XP, Vista etc) and just about anything Apple. I've also done a lot of training for both technical and nontechnical people an a little bit of web design.
Take care _________________ 6.5' Penn Long Beach with a Penn 330Gti for deep sea

I've only done the basics (design, setup and link to a web app) with MySQL in a couple classes so that's not exactly something I'm great at. But thanks for the thought _________________ 6.5' Penn Long Beach with a Penn 330Gti for deep sea

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I'll check those out. I looked at ESPN but didn't see any IT openings. _________________ 6.5' Penn Long Beach with a Penn 330Gti for deep sea
