I've always been a STREN man myself. I also like Berkeley Vanish flouro.
Light Spinning Tackle-Vanish 6 lb. test
Medium Spinning Tackle-Stren Magnathin 12 lb. test
Medium/Heavy Casting Tackle-Stren Sonic Braid 20-30 lb. test
Medium/Heavy Spinning Tackle-Vanish 20 lb. test
I wanted to try Sufix braid this year, but couldn't find it the day I stripped off my old line and just went with what I know. Any feedback on Sufix?? |

I've only found the suffix in a bright yellow color. Can't imagine that's real subtle to fish. _________________ Yankees Suck!

I'm a fan of braid. I have PowerPro on all my reels. I put the Stren FLouro on my spare bait cast spool. Still trying to get used to it. Lost too many fish and lures with any kind of plastic line.Seems ok right now _________________ Yankees are like snitches...a dying breed |

I run PowerPro on my reels with a mono leader depending on what I'm doing.
If I'm froggin, jiggin, or using a spinner bait I'll just leave it for braid. When I dropshot I have several feet of the mono as a leader/drop shop rig. I like that if I get hung up on something with braid I can just crank it in (ie Lilly pads, sticks, etc) _________________ 6.5' Penn Long Beach with a Penn 330Gti for deep sea

Wishin I was fishin,
How do you attach your mono leaders? Barrel swivel? Surgeon's knot? I've been pondering the same idea for smallmouth fishing with braid to flouro. I wanna do it as minimal as possible, and the only leader knot I know is the surgeon's knot, usually used for fly backing to tippet application. I guess I'll hafta play around with that. |

i used the 6 for ds rigging and i thought it was horrible, but i used the 12-20 and never had a problem with it. |

I have been using this stuff for 3-4 yrs 10-30# on all my reels spinning and casting. The castability is great not to much line twist. never had and issue with knot strength ( I use Palomar knot and tie direct no leader) I use the green lo vis. the diameter is very small and round Suffix uses a 6 line braid. _________________ Just Fish |
