Tough bite. Windy as usual.Water Temp 57-59 deg. Stained as usual. Started off throwin a white super fluke..no takers. Caught my first smalley on a 4" black grub. Second one on the same. Both around 2 1/2 lbs. My buddy was the redeye king, with a POP-R. Some big ones! Caught my 3rd on a crank bait ,1- 1/2 lb largey. My buddy then got a nice smalley, 3 lber on a crank bait...on the last cast. That's always cool. We also thru the blades a bit no takers either |

Informative. Nice job. Catch a smallie for me, and then send it to me in the mail so I can say I caught it.
What's the avg. size of pike in Bantam?? |

I have caught a few there between 26-30". I dont fish for them. To be honest I hate catching them. In some areas of the lake I stopped throwing spinnerbaits because of the pike. Tired of losing lures. Bantam is a good lake to fish. I always catch fish, just not consistant amounts. Some days 10 somedays 3. So far this year it has been good, for the amount of time I have spent there. It gets worse there when the pleasure boaters and jet skiers are rockin. No matter what it still beats work, and its only a half hour away. |

Well, that sounds like I gotta get up there, if you can't throw a spinner bait without getting a pike... that's my kind of territory _________________ Yankees Suck!
