Picked up my first 2 keepers of the year today. Both were released. One fish was 31 inches and the other 34.5 inches.
I was using my 7 foot Shimano Terramar with my Stradic match 20lb Power Pro.
Caught on sluggo's from shore in New Haven County Razz

Also sprinkled in 7 smaller fish to 21 inches

Total count : 9 for the 2 hours

nice going plop. I use a stradic for most of my inshore fishing, that reel is great for catching blues and stripers.

Well done Plop, it's sure nice to get the line wet hauling in some nice fish after a long winter.

plop, what size were the sluggos and did you weight them at all????
I've had good success with unweighted sluggos fishin mostly small lakes/ponds
