Hence the smile on my face It's funny, the 4 pike I've actually landed this year, I've been standing on that very spot using the same white x-rap. The other 3 were all of 20" or less totalling probably 14 oz. I've only had one other on in Pratt Cove, and he had my line wrapped in his mouth, and when I reached to gill him, he thrashed and stole my swimbait. So now I run a short steel leader (I don't like steel leaders) and 30lb. braid instead of 20lb.. |

Well you better start using steel leaders... you found like 90 of 'em all over the place the other day. You're gonna run out of room in your tackle box. Assholes leaving their line everywhere... _________________ Yankees Suck!

What about that ANCIENT single hook spoon I snagged in Pratt Cove?
Yea. Am I the only one who gathers up EVERYONE ELSES discarded fishing line??? C'mon people!!! I probably balled up 300 yds. of line this weekend. I wanna find the person who was using braid at Sunset Pond and hang them with it. I was gonna make a new topic regarding this matter, but lets talk about it now.
Fellas, if you see line, worm boxes, etc. at your fishing spots, pick it up and throw it out. It makes us (fishermen) look bad, and it's not cool to litter. It's also not cool to "look the other way" when you see this stuff. I love the CT. River, and when I see trash all over its banks, it makes me furious. |

What about salmon river? Right at the launch might as well be a landfill. Walk the trail a little bit, and look around. It's not fishing trash, but it is just TRASH! Some of it was white too... But the used condoms all over the place, a random shoe, a grill, Styrofoam, etc... _________________ Yankees Suck!
