Stopped by the old Ansonia/Derby res after work for a few hrs with a few guys from work. They were fishin for the stocked trout and I landed this
4 lb 8oz 10 ft on a texas rigged senko. They caught some nice trout. I usually don't fish the lower pond all I usually get are dinks. On my 5th cast I landed her very good fight 30ft from shore. I have had a decent week.

I myself never fish down the bottom, I was just lucky. I have caught smallies up top and I have worked my way to the top end through the mud
