I was actually told the day after the 5lb fish that you are not allowed on that side of the spillway I was rite in front of the signs and barbed wire fence but there are no signs until that point. The water auth guy was very nice. I used Tex rigged senko weedless no weight watermelon in color. I wish you could canoe in the lake. _________________ Just Fish |

Right at the top of Mckenzie. Go down Northford Rd and it's a right onto a real rough gravel rd. It's part of the Wallingford Land TRust. The road is probably a mile and a half of bouncing around and follow it to the end. Theres a little parking area. There's two pools there plus paths that go along the brook. Its actually the Muddy River, But it had some decent trout in there. I would say average 15". If you want we can meet up down at Mckenzie one day and I can show where. I want to go back there with some worms because I'm convinced you can't catch trout on lures _________________ Yankees are like snitches...a dying breed |

I drove by today and read the sign won't be done till fall of 2010, at least there is a large portion that still has water 200 yards or so. I saw a swan family just looking very sad wondering where the water is. I could see why they would want to dredge very shallow on the opposite side of the cause way is only a channel from the river. I bet the fishing in that large section of water is pretty damn good. _________________ Just Fish |

Everything in there is probably on that one side, but my guess is they won't last long. I've never been there, but it seems like cramming all those fish into one part of the reservoir just doesn't seem like it will help the growth of the fish. _________________ Yankees Suck!
