I was able to get the boat out today. Hit the water at 5:00pm. Pretty windy.
Took the Mrs. for a little ride. We both caught fish...nothing great. Mrs. caught a 12" smb and 14" lmb, the largie had a big gash across its back. Looked like bite marks. I caught a 12" lmb. I was throwin a jig, blue black and the wife was throwing a 3" Black Grub on a 1/8oz jig head. The water was stained and around 62 degrees. The wind was blowin pretty good. Couldnt really fish where we wanted to. Mostly wanted to run the boat any way. We were off the water by 7pm. |

Sounds like a nice trip. And you caught fish to boot.
I'd say that's good close to the day. _________________ Sleep...Eat...Fish!!!!! Then do it all over again. |

There were only 3 boats on the whole lake. You could run pretty good!! Felt good to open her up a little. The Mrs was holding on pretty tight. In the wind and rough water I dont push it, especially with the wife.
I wanted to fish by Beverly's, just wasnt fun with the wind. We caught our fish
off the point and east towards the beach. There was another boat there also, the guy said he hooked a nice 2.5 lb smalley. I have caught some nice fish there as well. |
