I've waded out there with the fear of losing a foot. If you go to the left og the point just opposite of the boat launch it's shallow and has a harder bottom plus if you go straight out from the point where the picnic tables are about 100yds theres a sand bar and it's about 2in deep. bring a beach chair and sun blocker and hammer them

Ha Ha yeah I guess so. But I do know there are some lunkers in there. Especially out behind the island. To the left of the island theres a spring that helps feed the pond plus a small brook that dumps into it

I'm telling you. Get yourself a surfcaster, a hunk of meat and a 3oz sinker and go to North Farms...you'll easily get a 100lb snapping turtle.

You can really fish the farmington Res. Have seen numerous people there over the years. Parked off the road and slipped a canoe in there. Used to take my kids bobber fishing there when they were younger. Great place for kids because there is tons of bluegills in there and easy to set up a lawn chair and relax on the shore.
