The LC's are very good baits, but they are certainly not the only one's that'll catch fish! As has been said,..you can get a $3 bait that'll work well too, however there are also a lot of $3 lures that'll be junk as well! In general,..if you have confidence in it,..you can catch fish with it. One thing you should do if you get any of the cheaper baits though is immediately change out the hooks to better quality ones!
Personally, I really like the X-rap jerkbaits. They are a great bait at a more reasonable price. They have a very nice action, they suspend very well and they definitely catch fish! (Get ones with feathers though! Wink

As I was telling mark yesterday.

I caught just as many bass on a Daiwa DB minnow ($2) as a megabass vision 110 I was throwing ($27)

SO take it for what its worth.

And today I couldnt get touched on the cheapie and banged um up on the 26-27dollar ones.

I love the X-Rap. I mainly use the Black and Gold or the perch colored one. It's the only thing I have caught a fish on this year with the exception of one bass on a Zoom pumpkin seed worm.
