I have to agree with Brennan, the trout that the bass will eat must be no larger than 8 inches, in this state at least. The stocked trout in this state are 12 inches or bigger. There are very few bass in this state will be able to swallow a 12 inch trout. So either stock smaller feeder trout in bass lakes, as well as catchable dinner size trout with our tax dollars, or throw our money away stocking lakes that do not have well enough oxygenated water to carry them through the summer. Just my 2 cents....... _________________ Life's Short - Fish Hard - Take a Kid Fishing |

The trout dont stay around long enough to be eaten by the bass...the opeing dayers take em all home.

Based on the size of some of the bass I've caught with an 8" Huddleston swimbait,..I think that any bass 4 lbs & up will be able to snack on those 12" stockers no problem! Whoops don't want to be a buzzkill again,..errr what I meant was,..let's take all the trout fishermen, set their nostril-hairs on fire and ship them off to New York!! _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."
