Went to my private small pond this morning. Saw a bunch of turkeys and caught a few fish. They all came on a Senko. All colors, doesnt really matter there. They ranged from 12"-14". No big ones today. Had fun.

Nice job catchin a few. Hey.... It looks like you were fishing from shore.... did any of those turkeys you saw give you a hard time?.... Those Toms can be mean as hell, especially this time of year when they start strutin.......I used to live in an apartment complex in newington that has a bunch of turkeys roaming around all the time.... The lady that lived below me would feed these turkeys so they always hung around our building. As soon as I would walk out the door to go to work early in the morning I would get chased to my truck by one or two giant Toms. Im talking like an all out sprint! hahaha.... those things wanted my blood. I would hate to run into a bunch of them fishing like you did with nowhere to run!

This pond is on the property where I hunt also. Pretty cool if you think about it. I hunt deer, turkey and can catch fish all at the same place.
So far I have caught a 6 lb lrg mouth. A 26lb lb turkey with a 12" beard and a nice 9pt buck. The best part is its only 20 minutes from my house. Two years ago I saw a pair of Fisher cats working a stone wall

(If you resize your pics,..change them to approximately 600x400 and they will fit nicely on the forum pages! Wink )
