went to crystal this morning with nextlevel got there about 730 fished for about an hour before i got the first bite on a jerk bait it was a12in smallie.a little while later a igot a pic on a dropshot.. a few cast later i got a crawfish on the dropshot first time for that.I mean it had a good hold on the bait not the line.about 15 mins later i managed a 4lb largie on the dropshot and that was the last bite of the day.Very long fish but very thin.It was great to get out today.

good work,

Maybe that used to be the long skinny 3lb I threw back lol Smile

Can't wait to get some bass, being down in PA at school. Shore fishing around here is impossible

great job yesterday bud. that was a nice fish! at least you were catching fish and other creatures cause i got the big ole skunk. hopefully this skunk thing stops for bolton next weekend.

unfortunately that fish was a definite sign of what happens when you put too many predator fish in a small pond. Sad even during this time of year that thing should have went at least 5 with the length of it.

Good job,...
I think the pickeral are super active right now in prespawn/spawn and the bass are still sluggish and still mostly "winter-mode" fish until the water warms a bit more so they might be having trouble competing,..
But I'll bet that bass weighs another pound easy, in a few weeks from now when the water warms a bit more! Wink

Its not the pickeral that are causing the bass to thin out...nxtlvl was talkin about the salmon. Since they have been introduced a year ago the bait population has declined fast. Salmon are a great fish just not in a lake that size.
