would have been a longer trip out but i had a "fun" time trying to locate my misplaced licenses and boating paperwork;
made it up to mackenizes res. for 15mins prior to work today; just figured i'd play around and see what happened;
first fish was the smallest, after that they got larger each time; best was maybe a pound an a half to two pounds (chunky belly)
other then the bass there was something BIG in various parts of the res jump and hitting surface; i dont think it would be bass.... and it was too big for perch or sunnies; and no it was those stupid diving birds..... there are some odd fish in that place that look like red fish crossed with trout almost but ive never been able to hook one... only see them come to the shallows

Nice work.
How was the water (clear, stained etc) ?
I went Friday afternoon and dropshotted an entire pond (usually my confidence setup) and got nothing.
I thought about the jig but wasn't sure. Guess I should have tried it lol
