As any of you who have noticed in my previous posts I am getting up there in years. I am actually considering something that at one time I would have thought unthinkable. When I was younger I use to just drive my boat on the trailer a couple of feet from the post and reel in a foot or so of winch strap. Well those days are about over (my knees aren't as strong as they once were not to mention my back). I received a bass pro catalogue today with a TRAC electric winch with a remote control for $119.99. A good price but has anyone used one of these? I have heard sometimes the metal cable binds up and you have a tough time getting the boat on. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated. thanks cmorjoe |

I use a Powerwinch rated at 4k lift, 7k pull rating, can't remember the model number off the top of my head.
Been using it since 2003 and happy with it to date to load my 26'WA. Broke the cable once, I should have changed it as I knew it was getting bad. |
