Jon Boats can be pretty risky to take on the river, especially during this time of year. Kudos to you buddy's that fished them out.
Does anyone have a link to the article? _________________ Sorry honey, looks like we will be late again due to motor problems.

jonny, thank god, for your friends being there. In weather like this, seconds = hours. Between the currents and the cold those guys wouldn't have lasted more than 10 minutes. They are so lucky your friends where around.
Shake their hand for me and give them a pat on the back. Hell, if I ever meet you, I will give you money to buy them each a 12 pack for their heroic efforts.
The coolest part about the story is how die hard they were about their fishing. They went out, started casting, saved two lives, a boat, dropped off the survivors with their boat and then they went right back to fishing like nothing happened. COOLEST GUYS EVER!
What do they do for a living (u don't have to share but I thought it might be interesting)cops??? fire department??? coast guard???Life Guard??? Financial Advisor??? Math teacher or Biology teacher??? Truckers??? Professional ass kickers or UFC fighters???
Any who, I am so glad that everyone is ok and that your friends were there. That is a truly awesome story. Thank you for sharing.
n8cas, thanks for the links. _________________ Sorry honey, looks like we will be late again due to motor problems.

I guess he was getting in a last couple of trips before the tax season starts. He'll be swamped with work in the next few months. So true, that they were right there, with the water temps. were they are, its just minutes before hypothermia sets in at those temps. _________________ Life's Short - Fish Hard - Take a Kid Fishing |

Johnny,
Thanks for sharing. I think this is a great story. Great Job guys!!!!
I would like to see them come forward and received there thanks. Not to mention it would make Bass fisherman look better the a group of guys in fast boats.
It's an awesome feeling to save another person.

I REFUSE TO BE A STATISTIC. I REFUSE TO BE STUPID. I HAVE A BLOW UP LIFE JACKET. I PUT IT ON BEFORE I PUT THE BOAT IN THE WATER , I TAKE IT OFF DURING THE Walk back to the truck. I'M NOT EVEN AWARE I'M WEARING IT. HAVE GOOD LUCK!!! "UNCLE RUSS SAID THAT" |
