Fished the FED. scholarship tournament on Candlewood this saturday. Bright sunny sky's water temp. low 60's. Tourney started at 7:30 went to our first spot had 7 smallmouth for about 20 lbs. Fished a dropshot and a tube. Real good morning bite. Next spot had 2 more fish both 4+lb. Smallmouth. needless to say we where having a good day. Fished about 10 more spots through out the day . All our fish came from rocks in 15-25 foot of water. ended up wining with a 8 fish limit weighing 29.90 all smallmouth

Man, that's a nice bag. I see winning bags like that weight a lot and just haven't figured the lake out like that. Time to slow down and look at the bottom structure a little better. Nice fishing! |
