Lets just look at it this way....there were 184 bags brought in during the 2-day at candlewood this weekend and there were 6 15+ bags.
I like the odds that a place like Bolton wont put one out right now
But im a man of my word....if JT draggs one in Ill be there to clean the boat! _________________ Well....I guess I'm here too! |

Wow, I thought there would have been more responses so far.
Thanks to Justin for putting this on. I also want to thanks Phish/Jed for taking me on a partner. Nice wide comfortable rig Jed.
Also, who was the guy weighing in all the fish? That big dude was a funny sonabitch. We all should have kicked in some bonus cash for his emcee abilities.
Finally, is it me or does Nick talk, alot? j/k
Good time guys and thanks again.

Sorry I didn't chime in earlier guys, I was exausted Saturday evening, sore back injury, and very busy Sunday.
First of all congrats to all the winners, and many thanks again to John with the Empty lake Bass Club for letting us borrow the scale to hold the weigh in. I don't have the exact weights, Justin does, but Justin and Seth had 9 and change for the win, with a 3lb. 7 oz lunker. Second was Nick (the Mouth) P and Cobalt with 8 and change, and Rich B and Will with 8 something I believe. Pointing dog took 4th with 6 something, and DjMon and I took 5th with 5 something.
As it turns out, I made a poor choice not to fish super shallow, and that's where most of the bigger fish came from. We fished the deeper weedbeds and only caught smaller fish, plenty of them, but small. I should have listened to DJ, he wanted to fish shallow, because that is his strength, but I was not convinced they were there, live and learn.
We were throwing the right baits that everybody eles caught them on, but in the wrong places. We got our bites on the wacky rigged senko, the jig, and drop shot. The water temps were in the low 60's and high 50's, with a 5 to 10 mph wind blowing pretty steady all day. The water was more stained than usual there, not sure why, but it didn't affect the fishing any.
As usual the food was good and the company even better. What happened to the Hamburgers, ketchup and Mustard Okie? If you say your going to bring something, then bring it, or the rest of us starve, even if you suddenly can't stay for the after picnic. It was nice to see the gang again, except nextime somebody needs to bring the duct tape for Nick P's yap, damn man that kid never shut's up!
Oh yeah thanks, that was me supplying comic relief doing the weigh in, that is all free of charge.
Justin, after you left that ugly Blone chick with the yellow lab was asking for your phone #, I gave it to her, I hope that was ok!
Hope to see you all soon, if not, tight lines until next season!
