Fished C-mond yesterday looking for the elusive smallies there. The smallie population was illegally introduced about 10 yrs ago. There is a guy that lives on the lake that was putting them in. C-mond doesn't have good smallies structure, but there is PLENTY of food for them in the lake. They seem to be reproducing, as I have caught some 8" fish.
I caught some nice smallies on a sweet beaver. The fish were on the beds and very easy to catch. Very hard to see the beds, C-mond is kinda murky. I had multiple fish all the way to the boat, they would shake off, then bite again. Don't worry, all the bass were immediately released. Big fish of the day was a BIG smallie that went close to 5lbs. I was by myself so no pics. I left at 2:00 before the big storms rolled through. _________________ "Men and fish are alike. They both get into trouble when they open their mouths." - Jimmy D Moore |

Lobsterman, I caught that fish after you had just left.
I fished the C-mond big fish T last night and caught that same fish to take the win. The bass weighed just shy of 5lbs. That was my last C-mond trip. I'm going to miss that lake! _________________ "Men and fish are alike. They both get into trouble when they open their mouths." - Jimmy D Moore |

Stumpy, I caught most on the sweet beaver, not the smallie beaver. Got a few good ones on a Venom broomsand colored tube. _________________ "Men and fish are alike. They both get into trouble when they open their mouths." - Jimmy D Moore |
