Took an afternoon trip on the river from 1:00 until around 4:30. Had one of my better days there, with 6 good sized bass, from 1.5 lbs up to 3.25!! Everything was on black jigs in various sizes,...half the fish came off wood and the others from the thinning weed patches. I think the bite was actually improving towards the end,.. however I had to get home for some family stuff so I couldn't stay any longer! _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."

A jig is just about always the first bait that I will throw regardless of when or where. If it looks like the jig-bite is "on",..then that's gonna be what I fish with +90% that day! _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."

Sounds like a nice river day!
Why is it the bite always improves when you have to be somewhere besides fishing |
