i had only 2+ hours to fish this evening so i took a 15 min ride to Beseck. I get there to have someone tell me they just finished a tournament there....no biggie...so i proceed down the bank throwing a shallow diving crankbait. couple of casts latter i hear CRACK!!!!! WTF was that... i look down at the reel i have a birds nest a teradactle can land in and one of my kistler rods was broke in 3 pieces, nearly cried ( kistler doesnt make this particular stick anymore) to find out when i went to cast the trebles caught one of my other rods and it snapped. so i change a couple of reels around continue casting between a crank and a senko trying to put something together then to make matters worse i goto cast and a treble burries itself into my drivers seat.
could my night get any f@#king worse? yes the only bite i had in 2 hours i missed. so ill be on the phone with kistler tomorrow to try to obtain a new rod on warranty.. |

It doesn't surprise me that you didn't get any fish, I fished that tourney and took 3rd place, some guys struggled to even get 5 fish. Sorry we beat the lake up, but those are the breaks. _________________ Life's Short - Fish Hard - Take a Kid Fishing |

yeah made it out there mark, struggled there too.
just got off the phone with kistler, that rod is not available anymore so i had to settle with something else. i tell you i do miss shimano for there warranty but 35.00 to replace a 230.00 rod isnt all that bad.

There warrantry sucks. They should do like the crucials with the warranty. Especially at the prices they charge. That lake can be tuff. Its a great lake to "grow" up on. If you can consistantly catch 8-10lbs for 5 there your doing something right.
Btw- I LOVE my kistler tube rod. |
