Fished from my kayak off the town beach in old saybrook for a few hours this afternoon/evening around slack tide. Got nothing casting a Houdini even though there was a little surface activity from time to time. I did pick up 3 small stripers on a tube & worm though. All were between 20-25". _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."

Went back for round 2 on sunday,...ended up with 5 stripers in a couple of hours. Two were pretty small,..two were 20-25' and the best of the day was this one,..barely legal, but I'll take it since it was my first ever kayak keeper!

LOL,..that's exactly what I keep hoping for Keith! From what I understand,..even the big ones tire out after 3-400 yds or so!
(These just barely moved me,..maybe 5-10 yds and most of them actually charge the boat at some point during the fight so i get all my line back in a hurry!) _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."
