Bobct decided we neede to get away from waterskiers, so we took a long ride up to colebrook. Haven't caught any smallies in a while so why not. The water level is very low and the spots that produced for us didn't happen. I told Bob lets head for the weeds on the north end. NO WEEDS at all in the north or south ends. Bob pulled a pickerel out and I got a smallie up there on a crawfish. Met a guy with a Lund. [ another wise man lol ] He told us about a steel bridge in 25ft of water. We cruised with the side image going and found it 1/2 way down the lake. Dropshotting brought up three more smallies and a rockbass. Died down , so we headed for the south end to pull in two more smallies on crawls. Nothing over 14" on the smallies, but a great day on the water. _________________ Fishermen will change the future. |

Nice job guys! Like Mark, I will be getting a side imager soon, probably once Lowrance comes out with their version. Ron, theses side finders not only marks fish to the side but can trace the bottom outline and find structures like a photograph on your screen, a little different than what you have. Cost.......... $2-3K, not cheap. _________________ Eat, Sleep, Fish......I Love my SKEETER ZX225!!!

The cost for the side imaging units aren't as expensive as you think, unless you are going for the biggun. I have the 9" version and love it. Helps you find the spot on the spot, but can also screw with you because you get caught up in looking at everything. The only thing that most people don't know is that you can't use the side imaging transducer when going over 5 mph...you need to have a high-speed transducer for when you are running. |

Side Imaging is very nice. The only thing I wish was that I had more time to use it. I want to get out there and fish, not drive around for hours at 4-5 mph looking for structure. I need to be discipline to start using it more though on slow days. It will pay off because the "spot on the spot" can be key on some lakes. |

I imagine its great to find new spots ecspecially on lakes like candy and whatnot.
Do you guys see fish on it? How do you mark waypoints on spots that are not directly below you? You cant see directly below you right? Im saving up for the 5in screen as we speak- 900 is a bit much for a spur of the moment buy. |

Nickp, Bob has more toys than santa. He leaves that 797 on for the side views and has two more finders for depth. We never see fish on the screen when we do catch them. If we do, they don't bite. Murphy's law. _________________ Fishermen will change the future. |
