| I would like to try out shark fishing this summer. I have a few questions... Who is a good charter captain to use? What would a day run me? How Many people could I bring out as a group? |

I take four people, makes for very comfortable fishing. Cost is $825 for the day plus the tip for the mate. Everything is included except your lunch and drinks. Take a look at the boat on the website. Last year we caught a mako (though some were small) on every trip but one.

How far depends on the water temperatures/quality, it can be as close as ten miles south of Block Island to 40 miles off the island. Best shot if you want a Mako or thresher would be late June or early July. Almost sure to be some blue sharks around to pull on at that time as well.

I don't have my book handy but I think I have a couple of Saturdays in July still open. Call me at 401-667-0641 and I can let you know exactly what dates are open. I know I'm open during the week of the fourth of July, if that works for you.
