| OK guys don't laugh but when I was a kid the only really good reel you could buy was the old Mitchell 300( I still have my dads half bail 300 somewhere) . Anyway for old times sake I bought the new 300X and it is a sweet reel; only problem after a couple of years the bail spring has become weak and you sort of have to help it along after a cast. Anyone know if this is something a person with limited mechanical ability can fix and if so where to purchase a spring (I guess this is the problem) I've lubed it so much it squirts. thanks cmorjoe |

No ,spend the 10 bucks to get it fixed.Mike at Somethings Fishy in West Haven is the best when it comes to fixing reels.
