Had another after work trip with ShortyPowers to Crystal after the weather looked to dicey to head to Mashapaug. Started off with the drop shot and he caught a couple. We moved to the northern end and found one or two more cookie cutters. Made another move to our honey hole and after getting blown by the wind, we decided to anchor. Good idea cause it brought a couple fish for shorty and my first fish on a jog (strike king black and blue w/ trailer) Also, my previous best fish was 1lb 6 oz, (nothing to brag about, but thats was my best) and on a black spinner bait with a trailer at dusk I hooked into a 20" 3lb 9 oz largemouth!!!! Needless to say I was pumped to get him to the boat since we had lost so many fish at the edge of the boat. I'm pumped, and if I wasn't hooked on fishing with low light/dark I am now. Thanks again ShortyPowers for bringing me aboard.
Seemed like the ticket was about 15' fow. And with the wind/choppy top the closer to the bottom the better. I don't remember temps, but shortypowers might chime in.
GREAT NIGHT!! That fish was amazing... I know its not a 5 pounder like some of you guys but I'm pumped.

Nice PB! I'm actually surprised a 20" lmb didn't weigh more than that! |

It was a good night out, although the weather wasn't the best. What, no pic? Are my camera skills not good enough in the dark?
Now I'm gonna have to check my scale (and no - it wasn't set in kg). Wishin kept saying it was bigger for the rest of the night after he caught it |

"My previous best fish was 1lb 6 oz, (nothing to brag about, but thats was my best). We all had a personal best of 1lb 6oz at one time. Nothing wrong with that. By the way, great catch. |

Nice work Wishin...I just started fishing dark spinner baits at night also and have had good luck with it. Keep up the good work. |
