Me and my buddy did some fishing last week and we did alright. I caught a 20 inch brown trout at West Hill on a small mooselake about 27 feet down. My buddy caught one about 19 inches but his was much fatter than mine.
Bantam Lake I caught a 18 inch 4 and 1/2 pound Largemouth Bass in North Cove on a white spinner bait
As well as a 16 inch northern pike on a white spinner bait
Missed 3 fish on a live perch underneath a balloon. It was like I was fishing for JAWS the balloon would go flying over to the weed beds and go half underneath the water. Missed the first one in South Cove near the state route and the other 2 were in North Cove.
Moodus I lost a huge bass on my rebel popper early in the morning. This bass was over 20 inches long and at least 7 pounds. He sucked in my popper and started pulling drag I didn't get a good hook set. He did a headshake at the boat and there he went. My buddy got 3 bass two were about 16 inches and one was a monster at 20 inches. But he was very skinny only looked to be 5 pounds if that. Here is a nice local (Plainville) topwater bass
And here is a kokanee that I never put up from early in the season from West Hill
Here is a video from West Hill me and my buddy reeling in the big brown trouts hope it works:
