Anyone see the news about the steamboat on bantam that capsized with 22 people on board. The driver was sighted for operating under the influence. Just a reminder that it is not us they need to worry about...and we need to watch out for everyone on the water.Be careful out there!

word of mouth says it was the powerful wind from the storms over the weekend. Swayed to one side and just kept going. Some people were trapped for a while as well. Scary stuff.

Did they get that boat out of the water or do we have to worry about hitting it now?

Where in the lake did it sink?

The boat fliped because of the wind, it's a flat bottom boat, and most of the people were on the top deck when it happend. it sunk right by the mouth of nicks cove or deer island cove and yes the boat is floating again back at the owners house on the east shore. I just hope it never goes out on the lake again, I never want to here 20 people in the water during a thunderstorm over my fire pager again.
