After checking the computer, they where having a tourny on Moodus so Bob and I headed local to guilford. On the water at 5 and the topwater bite was on full force. Pulled three bass in the next two hours on a popper. We dropped shotted a drop off and started pulling in some nice pickerel in the 24" range. Water temp was 71-81, sencos did most of the work for us. Nothing on frogs. Total for the day was 8 bass, none over 2 1/2lbs and 8 pickerel. Did see a couple of channel cats dead at the ramp, but never hooked onto one. Seems more peaple are useing this lake than in the past. They fixed the ramp a few years ago, but it has gone back to it's old condition.

Nice job Lundrunner. Nothing like topwater action when it's on!

We worked the weeds in the south end as well as the drop off there. Pulled one off the sandbar. May take the grandkids some time for cats. Topwater worked from 5-7am
