it's been almost a month since i have fished and i finally got out!
fished from 6:30 - 9:00am and picked up 7 lmb. all caught on sluggo's and senko's except for one on a jig. all caught in or around weeds.
nothing big but it was nice to get out! hope to get out to quonnipaug or cedar tomorrow morning... weekend is all tied up. |

LOL,..I glanced and saw Pickeral Lake in the title and immediately thought,.."hmmm, must be a report from stu"!! Looked again and sure enough,...
Nice job getting a few! Was that from your kayak or boat? _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."

fished from my boat. i typically only do a kayak when i can't use my boat. looks like you're doing more kayak and striper fishing... it's nice to have a balance.
fished cedar this morning and caught one on a jig! fished most of the time with a frog in the pads but only had one strike that missed. i was bummed because i thought the topwater bite should be coming around... |

is Pickadilly still weedy as hell?? I love that place but the last time I brought the boat the trailer was covered in 500lbs of weeds when I pulled it out..... _________________

you bet! the weedier the better! when it gets real weedy i try fishing the inside weed line... just need to practice skipping the lure under the overhangs... |
