I headed up to Mass for what I thought was going to be a cod trip but, when we got to the dock there was a change in plans by the captain. Supposidly the cod fishing was off the week prior so this trip was now a pumping wire drag umbrella rigs around striper trip. Which BTW after 5 min into doing it reminded me why I gave up pumping wire 20 years ago to begin with. Let me start by saying that in the last 2 weeks in New Haven we boated 48 keepers in the 20-38 pound range so i was a little annoyed at the fact I was paying $160 for striped bass fishing when i could do it here on my boat for about $10 a trip. Well the striper fishing must have been "OFF" too because we caught 16 stripers only 4 keepers the largest being 15lbs all the other fish were 2-6lbs.
What a waste of time and cash. _________________ Ladies and gentleman take my advice.... pull down your pants and slide on the ice. |

Should have stayed home.I would have let you borrow my Jim Dangles and caught a fish or 2 if you stayed in here instead of chasing cod dreams _________________ The King of Long Island Sound. |
