Went out with n8cas kayaking for a bit, Sunday morning on Pataconk Lake. Started off in the heavy overcast and dead calm,..which quickly turned into light rain and then a dounpour that got me thoroughly drenched since I had left my raingear in the car!! !! We each had a few small fish before I called it quits after I started getting pretty cold.
Anyway, I went home,..warmed up and decided to try again after the rain stopped in the afternoon! Ended up trying Uncas Lake for a few hours. The fishing was pretty slow,..but I ended up with 3 bass and no pickeral! I had one bass shake me off on a jump that looked like it was between 4 and 5, that had me pretty bummed out for a while,..but then I got this one which was 3.5 that made me feel a little better! A little smaller than the other, but it put up a real nice fight,.... spun me around 180 degrees and pulled me into the lily pads before I finally got ahold of it!

Sweet Mark. Looks like you brought the rain gear for the second trip? Probably didn't rain a drop then. |

I was almost going to head out to Pattaconk Sunday am but as soon as I woke up and heard the rain drops I chickened out. Nice job sticking out the day to get into some fish! |

Nice Mark! Pataconk turned out nice after you left - put my report up two seconds ago. Pulled in my biggest fish so far this year about the same general area where you caught the lunker from last week. I was on the way in so it made my day - (also made me late - but oh well). I'll have to check Uncas out sometime. _________________ do NOT touch the trim! |
