fished bantam today for 4-8

tried in the weeds, shallow but found it to be tough. then went to shallow rocky areas and started to get bit. got some rockbass, a couple of small lmb & smb and then a couple better lmbs. then i got a decent one and lost a really nice smallie after some acrobatics. all the fish were caught dead sticking a fluke. my partner got the skunk. here is the good one. water temps were 62-64 got to meet another familiar face Bob (bassinspector) talked for a bit then got wings from silders and a couple of heinekens [img][/img

NIce going Jon. I was there Monday and had very similar results. Dead sticking the fluke was the ticket for the smallies. I guess the motor is up and running again? Ended a day on the water with beer and wings, sounds like a good day to me!

Jon it was nice to see you guys there. I landed six on a couple different things. zero's, sinking minnows, gamblers creature bait, and on a Manns spinnerbait. My bass were in cover and tight. I seen a lot of empty beds and just one with a male bass on it. The incoming river water was almost 5 degrees warmer. Things will pick up there. See ya soon. Bob

Nice job Jon. I hope things will pick up for Bantam soon. Don't want to drive all that way to get an a$$ whooping there. Very Happy
