I got the day off and was thinking of hitting Lake Mcdough in barkhamsted. I never fished there but I have heard there are a lot of smallies there. I have seen the lake and it is beautiful. Is that place any good or should I just go to mash? _________________ Sorry honey, looks like we will be late again due to motor problems.

And you'll probably save $50 in gas. _________________ Life's Short - Fish Hard - Take a Kid Fishing |

McDonough is a great lake. The hours are restricted and you have to pay to launch and park. |

Chuck,
What's the $$$ and hours.
Is it worth a trip from Derby. I've never fished it and would be interested if you think it's a worthwhile trip.

To say its clear is an understatement. I went there 2 weekends ago and honestly saw a smallie in 19fow from my bow. Easily I mite add. Long casts and lite test helped me get some spooky fish in deeper water.
Got 5 on a 1oz football head jig and 2 on a spring worm in more then 20fow. We got 3 keepers in less then 10 fow- 2 3lb largies on shakeyheads and lunker smallie at 3 6 on a trigged senko (not off a bed) |
